This is one of the signature tourists stops in San Francisco. The cable car stops right across Beach Street after descending down a long hill. On a clear day you can see the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. On a foggy evening, you can almost see the lights in Sausalito. The big attraction here is the Irish Coffee. As with most tourist places, the food is mediocre, but you are really coming here for the ambiance.
For better food, you can get your Irish coffee to go and head over to Fishermans’ Wharf where you can get really fresh fish, crab legs and mushroom soup served in a loaf of sourdough bread. Fine eating.
